* To the people of Sušice and Podmokly from the 738th Field Artillery Battalion. We have not forgotten. * This plaque was handed over by veterans only in Podmokly in May 1988. The town hall was locked since the morning that day in Sušice.
Podmokly was the only place in the whole western Bohemia, where veterans of the 738th Artillery Regiment were received in 1988. These soldiers spent several months here in 1945. And it was thanks to Zdenek Pavlicek (video from this event is in the section "And in surroundings? ").
And here some excerpts from the correspondence that the Podmokly people started immediately after the war.
